Wayne was really great - very knowledgeable and he brought along essential equipment to show us, and he gave us a wish list of 'nice to haves' too. Although it was a mixed night of cloud and a few clear patches it wasn't possible to photograph the Milky Way, but we were very able to practice what Wayne taught. Really great location too - we were able to use the church and keep warm and dry, as well as benefit from better lighting! I really enjoyed the session - I learned a lot and would recommend to anyone and everyone interested in photographing the stars or Milky Way.

A lazy Sunday morning stroll around Newcastle City Centre. Princess Sq outside Central Library. Saw 3 lads impressively performing Parkour routines. My attention then drawn to the young woman wearing headphones, on her mobile, drinking coffee, in her own world oblivious to the lads. The image shows one of the lads in mid flight exiting a barrel roll and about to land alongside the woman. She never flickered, stood up and walked away.Lumix FZ1000 - MAN - f/4.5 - 39mm - 1/500s - ISO 400(A)
