It was very helpful. Difficult for tutor to know all types of camera but good guidance given. Three pupils is a good number for each course.

Wayne was really great - very knowledgeable and he brought along essential equipment to show us, and he gave us a wish list of 'nice to haves' too. Although it was a mixed night of cloud and a few clear patches it wasn't possible to photograph the Milky Way, but we were very able to practice what Wayne taught. Really great location too - we were able to use the church and keep warm and dry, as well as benefit from better lighting! I really enjoyed the session - I learned a lot and would recommend to anyone and everyone interested in photographing the stars or Milky Way.

    Andy Troughton
Hi, I am Andy, an Ex-Serviceman living in the North East of England, married to my wonderful wife Beatrice and kept busy by our two daughters.
I started getting into photography around 2006, during my service with the British Army, in some parts of the world, I felt compelled to document some of the places I had been and some of the sights I witnessed.
I studied studio and wedding photography and completed two diploma's which led to more academic achievement with the completion of my C&G level 3 in Digital image capture. I braved the digital editing world and completed my C&G level 3 in Digital Image Manipulation. Pleased as punch I gained another few years experience shooting and went for my A Level in photography, images, essays and presentations. I never knew how much work went into it all. Achieving my licentiate with the Royal Photographic Society has driven me to achieve more by helping others develop their skills and create amazing images.

Whilst out on an early morning cycle ride I noticed a storm building to the south as I pedaled along the coast above King Edwards Bay, Tynemouth. The rising sun produced some lovely light off to seaward, illuminating the cliff-top flowers and enhancing their colours. The image is a pano built up from 8 separate portrait orientated shots taken on my Fujifilm X100V. Fortunately, the rain shower moved inland so I was saved a soaking!
